FAQs
What types of events do you list?
Business-focused events for Kent and Medway businesses: networking, conferences and shows, training and skills, and business awards.
Do you list both free and paid events?
Yes. Free to attend? Choose a free listing or a paid package with additional promotion. If your event charges an attendance fee, choose a paid listing package. The attendance price of your event is separate from our website listing fee.
Which areas of Kent do you cover?
Kent and Medway, including towns such as Ashford, Canterbury, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Medway, Dartford and the coast. We group some towns for easier browsing; this is not an official boundary.
Can you list online or hybrid events?
Yes. Online events are listed without a map. For a hybrid event, list the physical venue and describe the online option in your description and website link.
How soon will my event go live?
Every listing is checked before it is published, free or paid. We normally aim to review within one working day, but this is not guaranteed. Payment alone does not publish a listing.
How far in advance should I send you my event?
Two to four weeks ahead gives the best chance of newsletter and social promotion in the week before your event.
What promotion will my event receive?
Free listings are not promoted. Paid events are included in the Kent Business Newsletter in the week before each date. Your event will be promoted on our social accounts around one week before it takes place. Late submissions may miss promotion that has already gone out.
Can I update my event details after it goes live?
On most packages you submit changes from your account and they are reviewed before replacing the live version. On Done for you packages, after you purchase we contact you by email to collect your details, and during your paid year you email us with changes.
What happens if my event is cancelled or rescheduled?
Email info@kentbusinessevents.co.uk and we will update or unpublish the listing. We do not contact attendees on your behalf.
Do you offer refunds on listings?
Please contact us. Refund requests are considered case by case, and this does not affect your statutory rights. Full details are in section 5 of our terms and conditions.

Yes. Annual packages cover any mix of separate one-off events and recurring schedules for twelve months, without paying again for each event.
How does annual renewal work?
Annual packages start on your payment date and renew automatically after twelve months at the same price. We email you 14 days before renewal. If you cancel automatic renewal, your listings stay live until the end of the paid year.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds (terms section 5)What if my annual payment fails?
If a renewal payment fails, listings covered by that package are unpublished straight away until payment is made. Your details are kept so they can return.
Why can I only have one free event?
The free package allows one active event at a time. Once it has finished, you can list another. The past event page stays online as an archive.
What are the three blog posts?
Annual customers can email up to three articles they have written during each paid year. We publish them in Insights.
What is the featured event banner?
An optional £27 upgrade for one date of a paid event. It shows your event at the top of the homepage until the event starts or for one calendar month, whichever is sooner. There is only one banner, so it can be bought only when free.
What is the free Kent Business Directory Premium listing?
Annual packages include a free Premium listing on the Kent Business Directory, which we set up for you by hand. It is not included with free or single event listings.
