Following a sell-out Seaside Summit and Seaside CEO publication release in March, Ramsgate resident and small business expert, Emma Jones CBE, is launching a series of monthly events for local small businesses, providing opportunity to hear from inspiring entrepreneurs and experts, connect with fellow business owners, and meet trusted advisers – all in the space of one early evening event!
Kicking off with a launch event on Thursday 25th June, monthly sessions will be hosted in the beautiful surrounds of Royal Temple Yacht Club. The events are already attracting quality speakers with the first event focused on ‘How to build a successful creative business’ with panellists; Ian Millner who started creative agency, Iris, and grew it to a $100m+ global business, Andrea Flamini who runs jewellery brand Loel that is worn by celebrities, and Ian Whybrow who is a placemaker of national and international Renown.
Events are hosted on the last Thursday of every month, from 5 to 7pm, with refreshments included in a ticket price of £5 per person.
Emma Jones said:
‘Based on my own experience of starting and growing businesses, I know the importance of being motivated by hearing the stories of inspirational entrepreneurs, and being supported by other founders experiencing the same issues as well as trusted advisers who can help. I hope these events will deliver that inspiration and motivation to the amazing businesses of Ramsgate and the wider Thanet coast.
Commodore Judy Parish said:
‘We are delighted to be host location for the Seaside CEO events. Members from our club see every day the industrial activity happening in the Harbour, from boat-building to sea tours. Enterprise in the town stretches out to the water and we hope these events stimulate even more new ideas for people to test and on which to build their ventures.’
